Every church has a story. Ours is a story of God's faithfulness, answered prayers, and a community of believers learning to follow Jesus together.
A Beginning Rooted in Prayer
On October 19, 2025, approximately 100 believers gathered in a barn to worship, pray, and seek God's direction.
For many, the preceding months had been filled with uncertainty. They were searching for a church home where Jesus Christ and His Word would be the foundation, biblical truth would be faithfully taught, and relationships and discipleship would be valued.
They didn't have a permanent building, an established leadership structure, or a pastor. But they shared a desire to follow God wherever He was leading.
That gathering marked the beginning of Firm Foundation Church.
Watching God Provide
The early months were filled with challenges and questions, but God continued to provide.
He provided places to worship, resources to meet the church's needs, and people willing to use their gifts to serve.
As one member shared:
"I'm so amazed and thankful that whatever is needed to be done for our church, everyone pitches in to help. Everyone has different talents and is willing to use them."
As the congregation prayed for a pastor, God was also working in the lives of Tony and Emily Maxwell, who were seeking His direction for their family's next ministry opportunity.
Through a series of unexpected connections and answered prayers, God brought their paths together. On Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026, the Maxwell family joined Firm Foundation for their first Sunday of worship.
What neither the church nor the Maxwell family could have planned, God had been preparing long before they recognized it.
Growing Together in Christ
Today, Firm Foundation is a growing family of believers committed to knowing Jesus, following His Word, and helping others do the same.
We believe a disciple is someone who thinks, acts, and loves like Jesus.
That conviction shapes our commitment to biblical teaching, authentic worship, meaningful relationships, and serving our community.
One member described their experience at Firm Foundation with four simple thoughts:
"Connection, strength, growing faith, learning His Word."
Another shared:
"I feel more loved, more seen, more filled than by any other church family."
These stories reflect the kind of church we desire to be: a place where people are welcomed, encouraged, challenged, and loved as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Our Story Is Still Being Written
In our first year, we've celebrated baptisms, watched ministries grow, served our community, and witnessed God working in people's lives.
We've shared joyful moments and walked alongside one another through difficult seasons. Through it all, we've seen God's faithfulness.
As we look toward the future, our desire remains the same: to keep Christ first, remain rooted in Scripture, love one another, and faithfully carry out the mission Jesus has given His Church.
We don't know everything the future holds, but we trust the One upon whom our foundation rests.
